The Queen of Christmas is back! Mariah Carey has officially ended her six-year solo music drought with the electrifying release of her new single "Type Dangerous," giving fans their first taste of what promises to be an explosive sixteenth studio album.
The music icon sent fans into a frenzy when she teased the upcoming project with a glamorous sports car-themed social media post. The wait is finally over as Carey delivers a hip-hop infused banger that samples Eric B. and Rakim's classic 1986 track "Eric B. Is President," blending nostalgic vibes with contemporary flair.

"I've been locked up in the studio for quite some time working my behind off on new music," Mariah shared in an exclusive statement bursting with excitement. "I'm thrilled for the unveiling of it to my fans, starting with 'Type Dangerous!'" This marks Carey's first full-length album since her critically acclaimed 2018 release "Caution."
The musical comeback comes hot on the heels of Anderson .Paak's recent revelation about collaborating with the legendary songstress on her forthcoming album. During an appearance on Track Star - where guests identify mystery songs - .Paak correctly guessed Mariah's timeless hit "Always Be My Baby," while sporting a T-shirt featuring her face.
"This would be Mariah Carey. The Mariah Carey," gushed the Grammy-winning artist who admitted having childhood crushes while watching her videos in fifth grade before dropping his bombshell announcement about their musical partnership.
The creative collaboration follows months after they were spotted holding hands at last year's iHeartRadio Music Awards and seen dining together shortly thereafter.
